Yesterday I was in the kitchen preparing some food for our lunch when I heard the ominous and unmistakeable sound of a fly that had made its way in through the open door- Open because I had not yet, but was fairly certain I would be burning something. I went to the window where I found not one but two flys. I grabbed the closest weapon and went to work; because that is so much more fun than cooking. I made quick work of the first fly and set my sights on number two. For ten mintutes I looked for this fly, flapping things, opening and closing blinds, etc but he had vanished.I went to work making my gourmet grilled cheese with chicken noodle soup made from scratch- compliments of Sarah Lee and Campbells. We sat down and began to eat. I tried the sandwich and was very impressed but was fairly confident from the aroma of the Chicken Noodle soup, that was to be the highlight. Suddenly something flying through the air struck me right in the left temple. Stunned only for a second I regained my senses and immediately saw the missing fly- the kamakze fly was now floating legs up in my untouched soup.
